The Federal District Civil Police (PCDF) served an arrest warrant on Wednesday (26), against a 57-year-old man, a resident of the Samambaia administrative region, indicted for animal abuse. He threw cats through the window of his apartment.
Preventive arrest was decreed by the court in the face of the risk that the suspect would again commit abuse. The investigated, who was forbidden to maintain animals, had adopted three puppies and twice broke the electronic anklet he wore. In addition, he broke the precautionary measure of night home collection.
In late February, the man was arrested after the PCDF received complaints that he fired a cat out the window, a fact found by the images of security cameras. A few hours later, he was caught going to the crash site.
The feline was rescued by neighbors and remains under veterinary care. Upon entering the apartment, the police found a cat pup in unhealthy environment, full of garbage. During the search, the suspect stated that another cat had died poisoned and guided the agents to the place where two cats were buried.
