A man was arrested on Saturday afternoon (20), after allegedly trying to break into Taylor Swift's home in Manhattan, United States. He was taken away by police after authorities discovered he had two outstanding warrants.
On Saturday (20), around 1:30 pm (around 3:30 pm Brasília time), police responded to repeated calls from Taylor Swift's neighbors about a “disorderly” man who was outside her building and refused to leave the area, a source said.
He was trying to open a door, an NYPD spokesman said.
The man admitted he was there to see Taylor Swift when police arrived, the source added.
According to the police source, the man was arrested after police entities discovered that he already had two outstanding warrants.
The man, however, was not charged with a crime related to the attempt to enter Taylor Swift's home, as there is not enough evidence to prove the attempt to enter a specific residence.
The Manhattan district attorney's office said it had no record of the arrest and could not confirm any other information.
A CNN contacted Taylor Swift's representatives for comment, but had not heard back at the time of this publication.
CNN's Nic F. Anderson contributed to this report.
