A man was arrested last Sunday after threatening to kill him and chasing him with a 20-gauge shotgun. The case occurred in the municipality of Alto Paraguai (MT), located around 200 kilometers from Cuiabá.
According to the Military Police, corporation agents were patrolling the city when they were informed that a couple had been threatened by a man following a family disturbance.
Police officers located the man who was the victim of the threats. He said that his stepson was under the influence of alcohol and had attacked his own wife. At that moment, he and his wife – the suspect’s mother – tried to intervene and help the first victim.
The suspect – whose name was not released – attacked his stepfather, aged 47, and threatened to shoot him and his mother (aged 70). He even chased the victims, but returned home.
At the property, the individual was approached and arrested. The weapon he used was seized.
