The Civil Police of Mato Grosso do Sul arrested a man suspected of killing a man, and trying to kill his ex-girlfriend in a bar in the city of Dourados (MS) last Wednesday (22).
According to investigations, the crime occurred around 8:20 pm, when the suspect broke into the establishment and shot a man, who died at the scene, as well as his ex-girlfriend, who was rescued alive and taken to a hospital in the region. She remains hospitalized.
Based on information gathered by the Police, agents located the individual hiding in an apartment. During the approach, he tried to flee, but was captured in a vehicle in the condominium parking lot. The firearm used in the crime was seized from him.
In testimony, he confessed to the crime, claiming that his motivation was jealousy, as he believed that his ex-girlfriend was having a relationship with another man.
In a note, the Military Police stated that they were called for this incident but only addressed the immediate issue, involving the two citizens shot in a bar.
