Agents from the Child and Adolescent Victim Police Station (DCAV) arrested, last Wednesday (23), a man for the crimes of producing and storing child sexual abuse material. He was captured at home, in a luxury condominium in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The Civil Police reported that investigations began after agents identified that the suspect stored content with scenes of abuse against children and adolescents. Evidence suggests that some of the materials were produced by himself.
Upon noticing the presence of police officers, the suspect tried to get rid of the electronic devices that contained the images, throwing them into a forested area behind his residence. However, the items were located by agents.
The material was seized and the suspect was taken to the police station. The prisoner was then sent to the penitentiary system.
