A 22-year-old man was arrested earlier this week for sexually abusing children during football lessons in São Luís de Montes Belos, in the interior of Goiás.
According to the Civil Police, a preventive arrest warrant was served against the suspect for rape of a vulnerable person and satisfaction of lust, a crime that consists of practicing or inducing a minor under 14 years of age to witness lewd acts, in order to satisfy one’s own sexual desire.
According to police, the suspect pretended to be a 16-year-old teenager in order to participate in sports classes aimed at children and teenagers. The aim was to get close to the victims.
During classes, he practiced sexual abuse. At least three minors were allegedly targets of abuse. The children were usually between 7 and 10 years old.
After being arrested, the abuser was sent to the prison system.
