A man was arrested in the act for wild animal trafficking while carrying 667 birds. The arrest took place at dawn on Saturday (10), at km 12 of the Magé-Manilha Road, which connects Magé to Itaboraí, Rio de Janeiro.

The action was coordinated by the Operations Center of the Environmental Police Station, the Federal Police (PF), next to the Policing Command of the Metropolitan Area, of the RJ Military Police, through information sharing.

In addition to the PF, RJ and ICMBio, the action was attended by the Civil Police, the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) and the State Environment Institute (INEA) and ICMBio.
