A 38-year-old man was arrested for illegal extraction of redwood in Confresa (MT), about a thousand kilometers from Cuiabá (MT), in a Civil Police operation, on Monday night (28), which also seized 600 wooden chips.

A team from the Specialized Theft and Theft Police Station (DERF) approached the suspect, in a Mercedes Benz 1511 Blue Truck, on PA Porto Velho road, which gives access to the white village village in the rural area of ​​Confresa.

Upon being questioned, the man stated that he had carried approximately 300 chips on a rural property in the municipality and that the material should be delivered on a rural property in the city of Santa Terezinha, 100 km away.
