A protester who works in the media set himself on fire outside the White House during an anti-Israel protest Saturday night. The man, identified as photojournalist Samuel Mena Jr, according to the New York Post, is seen on video screaming in pain after setting his left hand on fire in the middle of the street as shocked police and bystanders rush to help. Mena holds his left hand – engulfed in flames – up in the air to show the others, as several people quickly pour water on him and put out the flames. He shouts that he is a reporter as he is restrained by D.C. police officers, according to another video posted by Free Beacon reporter Jessica Costescu after the fire was put out. “We’re spreading misinformation,” Mena shouts at one point in the video as a crowd gathers around him. “I’m a journalist and I said it’s okay,” he shouts as a woman hugs him.
