Man disappears after paragliding flight and is rescued by firefighters in SP

A 52-year-old man was rescued by the Fire Department this Monday (27) after disappearing during a paragliding flight in Itaquaquecetuba, in Greater São Paulo.

According to firefighters, the man took off on Saturday (25) heading to the north coast. After takeoff, however, he lost contact with family and those close to him and was considered missing. The searches began on Sunday morning (26).

On Monday morning, the man was located in Serra do Mar, between Mogi das Cruzes and Boracéia. According to firefighters, he was found in “good health”.

“He was rescued alive, fed and hydrated by the rescue team, and left in the care of doctors and his family,” stated the Fire Department.
