A 23 -year -old man, who did not have his identity disclosed, was arrested last Sunday (18) after killing his own father, 87, in the West Zone of Belo Horizonte and then naked and bloody through the city streets.
Police said the man murdered his father to stabbed and beheaded the family cat.
Moments before being immobilized by the police, witnesses reported that the man spoke, “It will touch me. From now on, I am ‘the Lord’ of this earth. I proclaim you so.”
According to the PM, the individual has a history of psychotic outbreaks and was wanting to harm other people on the street. He was only contained after receiving three shock gunfire and a pistol shot.
The man was rescued and sent to João XXIII Hospital in a stable state, where he is under police escort. The victim’s body was sent to the Belo Horizonte IML.
The man was arrested in the act on suspicion of qualified homicide and animal abuse.
