A 30-year-old man was arrested last Monday (11) on suspicion of raping at least five children and teenagers, aged between 11 and 12. According to the police, the cases occurred in July this year in Guarará, in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais.
The Civil Police of Minas Gerais informs that the investigations began after the mother of one of the victims (an 11-year-old boy) received a message with suspicious content on a social network account that was linked to her son’s profile.
In the message, the suspect invited the boy to come to his house and that he would give money in exchange, but demanded that the fact be kept secret.
Investigators discovered that, at the residence, the suspect offered money in exchange for sexual favors. He used messages on social media to approach boys aged 11 and 12.
According to the delegate responsible for the case, Flávia Granado, “one of the children was lured with the promise of R$100 to weed the backyard of the suspect’s house. At the end of the work, the man tried to initiate intimate contact with the minor.”
