The Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO/RJ) – which is a task force made up of the Federal Police, Civil Police and the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro – arrested a man in the act, this Thursday (27), who was trying to remove military equipment from the Post Office in the Bangu neighborhood, in the West Zone of Rio.
According to the Federal Police, the equipment known as “Kit Roni” and which is used to convert firearms, was coming from China to strengthen drug trafficking in the city. In total, eight accessories were seized.
The Federal Police explained that this type of accessory also gives greater stability and precision to the weapon, as well as transforming semi-automatic weapons into automatic weapons or weapons that fire bursts of shots.
The man was arrested red-handed while removing the package loaded with weapons.
He was sent to the Regional Superintendency of the Federal Police in the center of Rio and then sent to the state prison system, where he will be available to the courts.
