The Capital Homicide Police are investigating the death of a man identified as Manoel Agostinho de Miranda, aged 66. He was shot dead this Sunday afternoon (29), in Del Castilho, north of Rio de Janeiro.
People who passed by the scene recorded the moment. The body was found inside the vehicle, a white Corolla. According to the Fire Department, agents from the Ramos barracks were called to the incident that took place on Rua Bispo Lacerda, number 103, at 11:54 in the morning.
Agents from the 3rd Battalion of the Military Police also went to the location and found a vehicle with marks of gunshots and a victim inside .
The area was isolated for forensic examination and the civil police did not confirm whether Manoel was a police officer, but said they were taking steps to determine the authorship and motivation of the crime.
