A man, identified as Jadson Pires, died after being attacked by agents from ViaMobilidade and the Metropolitan Civil Guard at Carapicuíba station, on Line 8-Diamante. Security camera images show the man being immobilized and assaulted by agents. The case occurred on November 11th.
The images show the man being knocked down by a trip given by a dealership agent. Then a plainclothes civil guard kicks him. Security guards drag him by his feet into the station, where he is immobilized. When he becomes unconscious they try to revive him. See below, in the images provided by Diário do Transporte to CNN:
According to ViaMobilidade, Jadson arrived at the station in an agitated state and did not respond to instructions, being restrained by agents from the Civil Guard (GCM) and ViaMobilidade, after having invaded the blockade line several times. After being restrained, the man suffered a sudden illness and was taken to the hospital, where he did not survive.
ViaMobilidade highlighted that the man in the black t-shirt is a Civil Guard Agent who was in plain clothes, with no connection whatsoever to the operation of the dealership.
According to the Civil Police, the images were analyzed and those involved were called to give new statements.
Expert reports are being drawn up to determine the cause of death. The case is investigated by the 1st DP of Carapicuíba.
ViaMobilidade communicated through a note that opened an internal investigation and preventively removed the agents involved regretting what happened and denying any involvement with the action of the civil guard who was undercover.
Adding that it repudiates any form of violence and that it continually invests in training its employees for relations with the public and the safety of its customers.
THE CNN sought contact with Carapicuíba City Hall, which shared that it was not notified by Via Mobilidade about the alleged involvement of a municipal employee in the incident, in this case the CGM Agent.
But they emphasized that the Security Secretariat does not condone inappropriate conduct and requested the images to investigate the case.
