Man is left with his underwear exposed after suffering a second robbery in the same morning

A man was the victim of two robberies in a single morning in Fortaleza, capital of Ceará, this past Tuesday (24). In the second robbery suffered, the man was still run over and left with his underwear exposed by the criminals.

In conversation with the CNN delegate Alexandre Saunders, who is investigating the case, reported that the victim, who does not want to be identified, is a driver for a passenger transport app and had received a request to be answered in the Quintino Cunha neighborhood.

Upon arriving at the location, a dead end road, at around 00:30 on the 24th, the motorcyclist was approached by an armed man, who was on foot and who announced the robbery. In this first approach, the victim’s motorcycle, cell phone and personal belongings were taken. He left the scene on foot in search of a nearby police station for help.

In the Antônio Bezerra neighborhood, at around 5:30 am, the motorcyclist was approached again, this time by four men who were inside a white car. As it approached, the vehicle ran over the victim who was on foot and threw him against a pole near the sidewalk. The offenders then got out of the car and threatened him with knives.

Afraid that the man might be armed, the criminals searched him, demanding that he expose his body under his clothes, leaving him with his underwear exposed. The helmet, the only item remaining with the victim after the first assault suffered, was then taken by the group that carried out the second approach.

The motorcyclist was not seriously injured after the collision. He traveled from the Quintino Cunha neighborhood to the Antônio Bezerra neighborhood on foot and upon locating the nearest police station in the region, he registered a police report.

Still according to Deputy Saunders, inside the car used to carry out the second robbery, only three of the four men inside the vehicle were criminals.

The driver of the car would also be an app driver, who was approached by the three robbers and taken hostage early that morning. The criminal trio allegedly forced the driver to drive for them while they carried out the robberies. The driver and car were released by the robbers hours later, at 6:30 in the morning.

In a note, the Civil Police of the State of Ceará (PC-CE) reported that it is investigating the two robberies and that one of the three suspects in the second robbery committed has already been identified. The police are investigating the case and are continuing to identify all the other robbers involved in the crimes.

The cases are in charge of the 10th Police District (DP) and the Vehicle Robbery and Theft Police Station (DRFVC), units that carry out investigations to elucidate the facts.
