A man was shot before last Sunday (11) in the parking lot of a supermarket in the Mondubim neighborhood, south of Fortaleza. During the attack, an employee of the establishment was also shot.
According to witness reports, the man was leaving the supermarket with the shopping cart when he was surprised by the armed criminal, who approached a motorcycle and fired several shots. The customer died at the scene before receiving medical attention.
A stray bullet hit the leg of an employee inside the supermarket. He was rescued by a medical team and taken to a health unit in the capital of Ceará.
Military Police teams, the Department of Homicides and Person Protection (DHPP) of the Civil Police and the expertise were at the crime scene, which was isolated for investigation.
In a note sent to the press, the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense reported that investigations are underway and that steps are still being carried out to identify and locate the author of the shots. The motivation of the crime has not yet been confirmed by the authorities. The suspects have not yet been arrested.
