A 50-year-old man was injured by a gunshot while trying to stop a robbery on Avenida Lúcio Costa, in Barra da Tijuca (RJ), early this Tuesday afternoon (12).
As soon as he was injured, the victim was taken to Hospital Lourenço Jorge. In a note, the Municipal Health Department reported that the patient’s health status is stable.
In the images from the scene, it is possible to see a movement of police and ambulance vehicles, as well as people observing the situation. The police are investigating what happened.
According to the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, the case was forwarded to the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca). In addition, two suspects were taken to the police station, one being a teenager.
