Man is stabbed at Consolação subway station in São Paulo

A person was stabbed at the Consolação station, of the São Paulo subway, on Wednesday night (4).

According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP), a 27-year-old man was hit while on the station platform – which is on Avenida Paulista, central region of the capital.

“An unknown woman came up from behind and hit him with a sharp object. After the aggression, the author entered a composition [do trem] and fled,” the SSP reported.

The victim was taken to Hospital das Clínicas, but there is no information about his condition.

The case was registered as an attempted murder by the 78th DP, in Jardins.

Consolação station is one of the busiest in the region as it is a transfer point between the Green and Yellow lines of the São Paulo subway.
