A 28 -year -old woman and her only one -year -old son were rescued by civil police this Wednesday (9) after passing one week in private jail In a house in the community of Rio das Pedras, in the west of Rio. The action was carried out by agents of the 20th DP (Vila Isabel) and the 32nd DP (Taquara), who began the due diligence after receiving a denunciation of deprivation of liberty. According to investigations, during the jail period, the perpetrator donated the woman and the baby with medicines, and even subjected them to death threats and physical aggression.
According to the chief delegate of the Vila Isabel Police Station, Camila Lourenço, the arrest was possible thanks to the team’s rapid performance after the warning of family members.
“The arrest occurred after the aunt of the victim reported that the niece was in the possession of Anderson, being doped and fed once a day. The woman, taking advantage of a moment of distraction from Anderson, managed to send a message to family members asking for help.

“They were in an unhealthy room, with precarious lighting. The victim was disoriented, in a state of lethargy. She was referred for expert examination that found this change in psychomotor capacity,” added the delegate.
The relationship between the two, according to the victim’s reports to the police, was marked by violence from the beginning. They lived together for two years in a condominium of Duque de Caxias, dominated by drug trafficking, where the man worked charging debts to the local faction. After diverting $ 2,000 from the organization, he fled, and the woman was expelled from the community days later, which marked the end of the relationship.
With no alternatives and nowhere to stay, the victim agreed to meet her former partner in a motel in Baixada Fluminense. However, he soon realized that he used his son as a means of control to keep her from running away. Subsequently, the woman and the baby were forcibly taken to a house in Rio das Pedras, where they remained under constant surveillance and in degrading conditions.
The man was filed in the act by private jail, threat and psychological violence, and is available to justice. The mother and son are doing well and are receiving specialized follow -up.
