A 43-year-old man killed a woman and was later killed, after trying to grab a policeman’s gun, early on Friday (19), in the city of Araçatuba, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to a statement from the Civil Police, the 19-year-old was found in one of the rooms of the apartment already lifeless and with knife wounds.
“According to witnesses, the suspect would be assaulting and keeping his girlfriend inside the property”, says the note.
Civil Police also claimed that there were several negotiation attempts for the man to surrender, before he tried to take the gun from one of the agents.
Live before being shot
According to the Civil Police, “seconds before the arrival of the PM, the suspect was doing a live on a social network, where he showed all his action and asked for forgiveness”.
According to CNN’s findings, the man who murdered his partner was called Givanildo Freitas dos Santos. On his social networks, he claims to have studied psychology and says he is responsible for a therapeutic clinic.
In an excerpt from the live, which is almost four minutes long, it is possible to see the man apparently using a mattress to stay away from the door, where the police are. On the mattress, there are bloodstains. The man yells at the agents and asks his family for help.
In addition, he says expressions such as: “execute, it’s live”, “remove” and “kill, you have to kill, in the name of Jesus, kill”. Outside, a person answers: “We just want to talk” and “raise your hand”.
Examinations have already been requested by the Police from the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and the Criminalistics Institute (IC). The agents seized the policeman’s gun, the knife used by the suspect and a microtube of cocaine.
The case was registered as femicidedeath resulting from police intervention and legitimate defense in the 3rd DP of Araçatuba.
