A man stabbed three people after having an “outbreak” inside an apartment this Friday morning (12). The case occurred on Rua Solano da Cunha, in Jardim Guanabara, located on Ilha do Governador, north of Rio de Janeiro. Among the victims, two women were from the same family and died.
According to the Military Police, witnesses said that the man had a “kind of outburst” and attacked the people who were in the apartment. The fatal victims were identified as Maria Helena de Carvalho and Rosa Maria de Carvalho.
Also according to the PM, agents from the 17th battalion found the two women already dead, as well as a man who was injured after getting into a fight with the suspect.
The person responsible for the stabbing, whose identity was not disclosed, fell through the window of the apartment and was rescued. There is no information about his health status.
The case will be investigated by the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC).
