Man makes hostage woman in Greater SP

An 18 -year -old woman was taken hostage by her husband in Taboão da Serra, Greater São Paulo. The rescue was made by the Metropolitan Civil Guard on the afternoon of Monday (10). Guilherme da Silva Pedro, 26, was arrested in the act for threat, bodily injury and private jail.

According to the police report, a vehicle of the patrol Guardian Maria da Penha, which makes rounds in the homes of victims of domestic and family violence, passed by when he was called by the stepfather of the victim, who said that the stepdaughter sent a message to mother saying that it had been beaten, and was hostage indoors.

The agents, when they arrived at the scene, broke into the residence, as the aggressor refused to open the door. According to the guards, the woman was injured and very shaken.

She said she was assaulted by her husband the night before and threatened with knives. The victim said the perpetrator hid his cell phone and locked her at home. At dawn she managed to find the device and send a message to her mother.

With the help of the GCM, the woman removed her home belongings and requested urgent protective measures, including her husband’s ban approaching her, her family and witnesses, as well as prohibiting any contact through communication.

At the police station the man admitted the aggressions, but denied having locked his wife at home, he said that “I didn’t know where the keys were.”

The victim was taken to the Brazilian Beneficent Hospital Association of Taboão da Serra/SP. The medical service report confirmed the injuries.
