Recommendations to avoid scams

To avoid falling victim to scams like this, the PRF recommends that consumers follow some guidelines. The first is Be wary of offers that are too good to be true. If a proposal seems too good to be real, it’s probably a scam.

Additionally, you need to pay attention to vehicle data. To do this, the PRF recommends that owners compare the information in the document with the vehicle’s identifying elements, such as chassis and engine.

At the same time as checking the information, the Vehicle Registration Certificate (CRV) must be transferred to the new owner’s name at a notary’s office.
