The Civil Police of Ceará are investigating the murder of a 20-year-old young man, shot dead on Tuesday night (19) in the Granja Lisboa neighborhood, in Fortaleza.
The perpetrator shocked the police by filming the execution with his own cell phone before fleeing. Security cameras near the scene also recorded the action and could help identify the suspect, who remains at large.
The Granja Lisboa neighborhood, located in a peripheral area of the capital, is marked by high levels of violence, often linked to disputes between criminal factions – which may be related to the case.
According to witnesses, the criminal got off a motorcycle, approached the victim, who was on a bicycle, and pointed the gun. Before shooting at least seven times, he positioned his cell phone to record the action. The victim raised his arm in a gesture of defense, but was hit by several shots and died at the scene.
Forensic Military Police teams were called in and carried out the first surveys. The investigation is under the responsibility of the 2nd Police Station of the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
