As expected, the story went viral on networks, unleashing reactions of indignation and anger from many Internet users, who called the man “irresponsible.” Fortunately, the case reached the authorities, who fined him $200, as possessing any dyed animal, even if the dye is harmless, is illegal.

However, Erik was upset and defended himself by saying that he had not dyed it, but rather took it to a place that specialized in it, and that before that he did extensive research to make sure that the dye ingredients were harmless.
