A 39-year-old woman, identified as Márcia Nogueira de Pádua, was stabbed to death by her husband in the early hours of Wednesday (10), in Colniza, in the interior of Mato Grosso, after a fight in a bar.
According to the Civil Police, the crime occurred inside the victim’s home, in the presence of the couple’s two daughters, aged 18 and 9.
The Military Police were called after a child was seen screaming in the street. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found Márcia lying near the house’s gate, with a lot of blood around her.
The daughters reported that their father, after arguing with their mother, stabbed her. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) was called, but Márcia’s death was confirmed at the scene.
After committing the crime, the suspect fled on a motorcycle and is being sought by the Civil Police.
On social media, family and friends expressed their sadness at the loss of Márcia. The victim’s brother, Márcio Nogueira, published a photo of mourning.
