CCTV footage has captured the moment a thief lands on the ground after being tackled by a jiu jitsu athlete when he tried to steal a bag from a woman. Lucas de Padua Viegas, 39, said he had just dropped his mother off at a store when he heard someone shout: “Catch the thief!” Immediately, Lucas sprinted to the street, where he saw the thief running towards him. Security footage shows Lucas picking up the suspect and throwing him to the ground in a jiu-jitsu motion, throwing him backwards onto the street.
