In Russia, a man survived the attack of a brown bear in a forest about 125 km from Moscow, according to the country’s press.
The resident was collecting horns lost by blacks and deer in the woods, when he was surprised by the bear that attacked him from behind.
According to the reports, he was severely mutilated by the animal and could only survive because he pretended to be dead.
“He began to gnaw his skull, then turned him and started eating his face,” said the victim’s uncle. “Somehow (he) pretended to be dead, and the bear left him alone.”
Russian media said the injured man called emergency services and waited for hours, while emergency teams were looking for him in the forest near the village of Yeremeevo. After the rescue, he taken to the helicopter hospital.
Rise
The population of the neighboring cities of Moscow is alarmed because it is increasingly increasing the reports of bear sightings around the Russian capital.
Bear hunting is allowed in much of Russia, but is prohibited in the Moscow region.
Some Russians go to the forest to collect horns, a pair of which can be sold for about one thousand reais, about two thirds of Russia’s monthly minimum wage.
