The Civil Police arrested this Tuesday (16) the man, aged 26, suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend, aged 24, found with signs of violence inside the bathroom of the apartment where he lived in Catanduva, in the interior of São Paulo.
The case was discovered by the police on April 11th.
Wanted by CNN , the Public Security Secretariat stated that the civil police were called to serve an arrest warrant and that, upon arriving at the scene, they found Luan Henrique Pereira de Oliveira at his residence. He denies the crime.
The suspect's car, his mother's cell phone, and the key to Carolina's apartment that was with Luan were seized for forensic examination. A computer that was at the scene was also seized.
Still in a statement, the SSP stated that the man was sent to public jail.
The incident was registered as capture of a wanted person, execution of a search and seizure warrant, execution of a temporary arrest warrant at the DIG of Catanduva.
Carolina's body was found by her brother, who called the police. The victim had injuries to his neck and arm.
The young woman left behind a 5-year-old daughter, who is under the custody of her maternal grandmother.
The Civil Police investigates the case.
