Man suspected of planning the death of an American in RJ is arrested in PE

The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police (PCERJ) preventively arrested Ricardo Vicente do Nascimento, in the city of Jaboatão dos Guararapes (PE), on the afternoon of this Tuesday (24). He and his wife, Márcia Cristina Neves Ferreira, are suspected of having planned the crime that killed the American Leuvis Manuel Olivero Ramos, in October 2021.

The preventive arrest warrant was issued by the 2nd Criminal Court. The American was Márcia’s son-in-law and had met with her moments before the crime.

Investigations indicate that Ricardo and Márcia were at the crime scene and planned the plan with the perpetrator, who has not been identified. Furthermore, security cameras show the moment when Ricardo got out of his wife’s vehicle and got into the perpetrator’s car to finalize the final details of the murder.

After that, he returned to Márcia’s vehicle, where they made contact with the American. They scheduled the time and place where they would receive her daughter.

According to PCERJ, Ricardo was also identified as the person responsible for indicating to the perpetrator who the victim would be. The American was killed with several PAF shots by the as yet unidentified criminal.

Furthermore, investigations indicate that the relationship between Leuvis and Thaís, who is Márcia’s daughter, was troubled, with her consenting to the plan devised by her mother and stepfather.

Ricardo will serve his sentence in Pernambuco and will be at the disposal of the courts. Márcia remains in prison.
