Wellington Silva, suspected of stabbing his partner in the west zone of Rio, turned himself in at the 53rd Police Station in Campo Grande on Tuesday afternoon (17). He had been wanted by the police since the beginning of September.
According to witnesses, Wellington fled to a community in Itaguaí to try to hide. The civil police reported that efforts were already being made to try to find the suspect.
The crime took place on September 9. The victim, identified as Alessandra Godinho, 33, was stabbed 33 times after an argument with her partner.
The action was recorded. In the images, it is possible that he runs down the stairs and then hits Alessandra in front of their son. She suffered a punctured lung and pancreas.
The victim was rescued and taken to Pedro II Hospital, in the west zone of Rio.
Wellington will be charged with attempted femicide.
