Iran today executed a man who was convicted of killing seven people, including a 10 -year -old boy, during demonstrations that had erupted in the country in 2022, according to judicial authorities. Abbas Kourkouri was sentenced to death, accused of opening fire in Izeh, a city in southwestern Iran, during a demonstration after the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22 -year -old Iranian Kurdish descent arrested in September 2022. The man was accused of opening fire with a military weapon and killed seven people, including Kian Pirfalak, 10 years old. The authorities described the act as a “terrorist attack”.
