Manchester United, who won the tournament trophy in 2017, will also face Moldova’s Sheriff Tiraspol and Cypriot Omonoia in Group E.
Arsenal’s other opponents in Group A are Bodo/Glimt and FC Zurich, on the English club’s path to winning the competition’s first title after reaching the final twice.
Conference League champions Roma last season were drawn with Ludogorets, Real Betis and HJK Helsinki.
The winners of each group in this phase, which starts on September 8, advance directly to the round of 16, scheduled for February.
The runners-up from each group will advance to a knockout playoff, where they will face one of the eight teams that finish third in their groups in the Champions League.
The third-placed teams in the Europa League groups will compete in the Conference League, where they will face the runners-up of the group stage of this tournament in the knockout stage.
The Europa League final will take place at Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 31, 2023.
