Manuel Bortuzzo and Lulù Selassié break up (and the reality spell ends)

It is a fairly common thing: the cameras turn off and real life begins, the only experience able to make it clear to those who lived them if the sensations felt when the red light was on were sincere or dictated, on an unconscious level, by something more hidden. The need to appear, the urge to feel someone close to you, or who knows what else. Thus it happens that certain unions born in front of millions of people break up in the privacy of their own bedroom, and it is precisely this what happened between Manuel Bortuzzo and Lulù Selassié which, in the sixth edition of Big Brother Vip, they laid the foundations for a tormented love story that divided the public between supporters and detractors. Although the tensions were certainly not lacking – we all remember Manuel’s intolerance when Lulu was too much on him – it seemed that Bortuzzo’s intentions were serious since, once he left the House, he had explained several times not only that Lulu was the woman of his life, but who would sooner or later become his wife.

His family, in relation to this relationship, has always harbored some doubts and, seen how it went, he was right since, through social media, Manuel and Lulù have announced that they are no longer together. «In this month from the end of the Gf Vip we understood that significant differences of views between us can no longer be overcome. Unfortunately we tried, but it is not possible to continue, from today everyone goes his own way, without rancor. I sincerely thank all those who supported and loved me and Lulu and believed in us, but unfortunately that of the Big Brother it remains a beautiful parenthesis that has not been able to find confirmation in real life ». Manuel’s choice of words is singular, given that it often happens, in a circumscribed context, to forge bonds that seem to last forever but that vanish as soon as that magic circle is broken.

These are very common situations: chatter before an exam that leads complete strangers to support each other; the queue to enter a concert that leads fans to exchange jokes to cancel the wait e the closeness that the protagonists of a reality show develop to make the confinement more pleasant and less solitary. All spells, however, are doomed to break and, despite the Big Brother Vip has led some couples to continue their journey outside – such as Clizia Incorvaia and Paolo Ciavarro – it is also true that for others, different problems and criticalities come into play. In the specific case of Lulù Selassié and Manuel Bortuzzo there were many who bet that that union would not last, even if there were thousands of fans who on Twitter were ready to support the couple to the point of replacing the profile photo with that of their kiss. In short, if it is true love it will flourish.
