Indicator US ISM Manufacturing PMI rose more than two points in February to 60.8 from 57.7 in January, improving the 58.8 expected by the market. This is the best result recorded by the indicator since August 2018, when it also reached 60.8.
ISM’s manufacturing employment index also improved in February, growing to 54.4 from 52.6, its best reading since March 2019.
The index of New manufacturing orders jumped to 64.8 from 61.1, its best level in the last two months, while the price paid index rose to 86 from 82.1, notably improving the 77 estimates and registering its highest score in years.
