Marathon Digital to Move Mining Power from Montana to Clean Energy Locations

The American mining company Marathon Digital plans to move equipment from Nevada to locations where energy from renewable sources will be used.

The company itself is based in Nevada, but also has farms in Hardin, Montana. To power the city and mining installations, it uses energy obtained from a coal-fired power plant. Marathon’s management emphasizes its commitment to the use of exclusively “clean” energy, which is why the decision was made to move the equipment.

“Marathon Digital is using every opportunity to power our mining operations with renewable energy. Most of the devices are already planned to move to other locations with “clean” energy. Now the project is being implemented. We believe this is the right time to transition our operations from fossil fuel energy to cleaner electricity,” said CEO Fred Thiel.

Now miners around the world are trying to use “green energy” – this allows us to resolve claims from officials about the great harm mining has to the environment.

Recall that at the end of December last year, Marathon Digital signed a contract for the largest supply of Antminer S19 XP ASIC miners from the Chinese manufacturer Bitmain.
