THE CNN Marcela explains the choice of the title: “We taught us that love was going to come, but they didn’t teach us what were the symptoms of love we wanted.”

The author of “Aurora: The Women’s Warning Exhausted” He started writing his second book amid his divorce to understand “What was this love that promised me and why did he disappoint me?”

Collective pain

Marcela also presents the Podcast Good Morning, Obvious since 2020, in which she interviews experts to discuss issues of the female universe. Throughout her career and in her books, she has come across the following question: “Why are so many women going through similar things?”

“If pains are collective, we need to stop treating in therapy. They are structural pain. It is how they taught us to love, and how men were taught to love, ”he said.

It is interviewing experts from different areas that she tries to understand the reason for these frustrated dynamics involving romantic relationships are repeated with so many different people. And even if her communication is focused on the issues of the female universe, Marcela makes a point of remembering that the book is for everyone.

“I would love this book to be very read by men,” she said. “There is a performance of masculinity within relationships that also harm dynamics. It’s no use just teaching as a woman if you are going to relate to men who are still stuck in another dynamic.”

“The promise for us [mulheres]is that when you have a pair, everything is resolved. And the promise to men is that when they have a pair, their lives are over. How will these two people relate? How will these two people build something as valuable as a relationship? ”Said Marcela.

Discover the right questions
