Part of the money from the kidnapping involving Marcelinho Carioca was recovered. The information comes from delegate Fábio Nelson, who gave details of the case this Tuesday (19).
According to the delegate, part of the amount was recovered. He did not give details of the amounts, but on Monday he was informed that at least R$40,000 was paid for Marcelinho’s rescue.
Four people are in pre-trial detention for the crime: two men and two women. Two were arrested because of PIX and two because they were in captivity.
The police requested the arrest of two more people who were identified, but are awaiting the court’s decision.
On Monday, Marcelinho said he was forced to record a video where he said he had an affair with a married woman. The former player said he was unable to identify the criminals, but believes that 6 to 10 people were in captivity.
Regarding the leader of the kidnapping, the police are still seeking to identify the perpetrator. Marcelinho was hit by the butt when he got into the kidnappers’ car. The victims’ cell phones and the weapon used in the crime were not found.
