Marcelo Rubens Paiva author of the autobiographical book that originated the film “I’m Still Here” published a record with his “brothers” this Wednesday (20).
In the house where scenes from the film were recorded, similar to his childhood home, Marcelo Rubens Paiva appeared alongside child actors, who play characters in the film.
“Familiar,” wrote the writer. He is the son of Rubens Paiva federal deputy who was arrested and killed during the military dictatorship in 1971, in Rio de Janeiro.
In the comments, admirers of the film reacted. “Does Marcelinho’s actor already realize the size of this guy he played”, asked an internet user.
“Exciting. Thank you for telling this story, Marcelo”, wrote another. “The perfect photo exists,” declared a third.
Walter Salles’ film, which hit theaters on November 7, was chosen by the Brazilian Academy of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (ABCAA) to represent Brazil in the dispute for a nomination in the category of Best International Film node Oscars 2025 .
