Marcelo Sampaio will take over the infrastructure ministry this Thursday, Tarcísio tells CNN

The federal government has already beaten the gavel on the new name to lead the Ministry of Infrastructure. The successor of the current head of the portfolio, Tarcísio de Freitas, who must hand over the position to run for the government of São Paulo, will be Marcelo Sampaio, the current executive secretary of the ministry.

“The name is already defined. Marcelo Sampaio will take over as of tomorrow”, said the minister in an interview with CNN this Wednesday, after the conclusion of the privatization auction, this Wednesday (30), of Companhia Docas do Espírito Santo (Codesa).

Carioca, Tarcísio also spoke about his intention to choose a deputy from São Paulo for his ticket. “If you show that you understand the origin of problems and the nature of solutions, the state where you were born doesn’t matter. But the slate will be made up of people from here (from SP), yes,” he said.

“We are looking for good names, who have adherence to our project”.
