March for Jesus brings together evangelicals in São Paulo and celebrates 30 years of event

The March for Jesus, an event organized by evangelical churches from various parts of the country, celebrated its 30th anniversary this Saturday (9), a state holiday in São Paulo. The event brought together faithful at the Heroes square of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force, near Campo de Marte, in the north of São Paulo.

On a walk, evangelicals departed from Luz station, in the central region of São Paulo, towards the place of concerts by gospel music artists.

The March for Jesus has been part of the official calendar of events in Brazil since September 2009, sanctioned by law. The first edition of the march left Avenida Paulista, went down Avenida Brigadeiro Luís Antônio and arrived in Vale do Anhangabaú for the rally.

Since then, the event has been held in countries such as Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, United States, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Mozambique, Russia, among others.
