Marciano Cantero dies, vocalist of Enanitos Verdes; rock is in mourning

After dealing with health complications in recent weeks, the legendary composer and leader of the emblematic band Enanitos Verdes, Horacio Eduardo “Marciano” Cantero, died at the age of 62, in Mendoza, Argentina, on September 8.

The person in charge of breaking the news to journalists who gathered outside the hospital was the son of the singer and musician, Javier Cantero.

According to local media reports, “Marciano” died at the Cuyo Clinic in the city in western Argentina, where he had been admitted since the end of August due to kidney failure.

According to preliminary medical reports released by various Argentine portals, Cantero had serious complications with the remaining kidney.
