Marco Antonio Villa: We have to build a culture of peace to avoid tragedies like the one in Blumenau

The commentator of CNN Marco Antonio Villa analyzed the repercussions of the attack on the day care center in Blumenau last Wednesday (5).

A 25-year-old man invaded a day care center in Blumenau, killing four children and injuring five others this Wednesday. Around 40 children were reportedly using the playground at the time of the invasion. The dead children were veiled this Thursday (6).

Villa lamented the episode and said that it is “urgent” necessary to build a “culture of peace” to avoid new tragedies.

“There is no determining factor, there are several, both at the municipal, state and federal levels. We have to build, and it is not overnight, a culture of peace and that is the main challenge. And it has to be an urgent measure, not just a commission that doesn’t work, bills, psychology needs in schools to deal with the issues these people are going through. And not to think that violence is answered with more violence, ”he said.
