Marcola’s right-hand man is transferred to the same prison as the PCC leader

Gilberto Aparecido dos Santos, 53 years old, better known as “Fuminho” and appointed by the Federal Police and Public Ministry as “number 2” of the First Command of the Capital (PCC), was transferred from the Federal Prison of Mossoró (RN) to the Penitentiary Federal District of Brasília (DF), last week.

The convict, who spent 21 years on the run from Justice and was arrested in April 2020, in an international PF operation in Africa, is now serving his sentence in the same place as Marcos Williams Herbas Camanho, Marcola, top leader of the PCC, considered the largest criminal faction in Brazil.

Investigators also point to Fuminho as Marcola’s right-hand man.

Sources from the Federal Penitentiary System (SPF), responsible for the Brasília prison, however, guarantee that there is no possibility of the two having contact.

A CNN it also found that the PCC leader must be transferred to another maximum security unit, at an address and date still unknown. The measure comes after the federal penitentiary intelligence sector identified an ongoing plan to kidnap and kill federal criminal police officers, in addition to attacking penitentiaries, as disclosed by the CNN .

Fuminho’s prison

Gilberto Aparecido dos Santos was arrested on April 13, 2020, in Maputo, capital of Mozambique, Africa. The criminal returned to Brazil on a FAB (Brazilian Air Force) plane. He was hiding in a luxury condominium.

The operation was coordinated by the PF sector to combat organized crime and criminal factions in partnership with the United States and African police.

The coordinator of the operation, at the time, was delegate Elvis Secco, who is currently outside Brazil and is on the list of those threatened by the PCC.

Lawyer Ércio Quaresma Firpe, who represents Gilberto Aparecido, told the reporter that his client has no connection with the PCC, which he never had. “He lived outside Brazil for 21 years, there is no evidence against him,” he declared.
