The house where the parents of businessman Marcos Matsunaga, who was killed and dismembered by his wife, Elize Matsunaga in 2012, live, was invaded by criminals early this Saturday (2).
Around two o’clock, the elderly couple aged 79 and 80, and their granddaughter, were surrendered by the bandits. The crime took place in the Alto de Pinheiros neighborhood, west of the capital.
Military police officers were called to attend to the occurrence and, at the indicated address, found the victims. According to the São Paulo State Secretariat for Public Security, the elderly man, his wife and granddaughter were sleeping when they were surprised by three robbers armed with an object similar to a knife.
About R$ 20,000 in cash, jewelry, watches, cell phones, a notebook, as well as two pistols that are registered in the elderly man’s name were taken.
The suspects stayed in the property for a few hours and, before fleeing, tied the victims’ hands.
Exams were requested from the Institute of Criminalistics (IC) and the case was registered as a burglary at the 14th DP (Pinheiros).
So far, no one has been arrested.

Marcos Kitano Matsunaga, owner of the Yoki food industry, was killed and dismembered by his wife, Elize Matsunaga, in 2012.
She was arrested in the same year, convicted of killing with a shot to the head and dismembering her husband’s body.
The crime took place in the couple’s apartment, in Vila Leopoldina, in São Paulo. Body parts were scattered in green areas in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.
She was initially sentenced to 19 years and 11 months in prison, but her defense appealed and, in 2019, managed to reduce the sentence to 16 years and 3 months.
Elize worked in prison and maintained good behavior, which made it possible for her to progress to the open regime in May 2022.
