He added: “The time has come for big decisions. “Europe will not be independent of Russia in energy unless we take a spectacular initiative to move the market and the supply of energy together,” he said. Vice President of the EU whereas the proposal for a joint commission from the EU will be accepted in order to have better prices.
“We have a toolbox and many possible actions for Europe to become independent of Russian energy, topping the list is the common market, while another idea is the joint storage of gas in Europe,” he added.

As Mr. Schoinas also said, the horizon for the implementation of the decisions is next winter.
