Marginal crater: works enter the second day; See next steps

The works to close the hole that opened at Marginal Tietê, in São Paulo, entered this Friday (11) on the second day of activities.

Sabesp teams and outsourced companies have used backhoes to dig more deeply the area to allow underground piping to undergo maintenance.

The transition track between the central and local bands remains banned towards Castello Branco. The hole emerged in a stretch of responsibility of the AutoBan concessionaire, about 400 meters before the Atílio Fontana bridge, at the time of leaving the Bandeirantes Highway.

Crushed loads arrived at the scene to fill the crater and enable asphalt reconstruction. However, throughout the afternoon of Friday, the work was to expand the hole.

The forecast of completion of the work remains for this Sunday (13). However, those responsible avoid stinging a deadline in the face of the complexity of work on site.

Traffic Engineering Company (CET) officials have maintained interdictions in the affected bands, and act to organize the flow of vehicles in the surroundings to avoid more intense congestion.
