“Maria Calla s”, new film starring Angelina Jolie had its first teaser revealed this Thursday (26). Directed by Pablo Larrain (“Jackie” and “Spencer”), the production has the potential to earn the actress her second Oscar — the first was in 1999, when she won Best Supporting Actress for “Girl, Interrupted “.
In the production, Jolie plays the opera singer Maria Callas . As in the other films in Pablo Larraín’s trilogy about iconic women — “Jackie,” with Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy and “Spencer “, starring Kristen Stewart in the role of Princess Diana — the film portrays Callas’s last years in 1970s Paris.
In Brazil, “Maria Callas” does not yet have a release date. However, the film was announced as the opening title of the 48th edition of the São Paulo International Film Festival .
