Maria Chiara Gavioli died, she had a relationship with Allegri

The maid found her dead in her luxurious eighteenth-century villa in Mogliano Veneto. The former model Maria Chiara Gavioli, a 47-year-old entrepreneur, is died of a sudden illness. Beside the body, some medicines: the woman had health problems. The coroner, who intervened together with the carabinieri, did not see any signs that could suggest other causes of death.

For many years, Maria Chiara Gavioli, who belonged to one of the most powerful families in the Veneto region, was involved in a legal matter together with her brother Stefano: in 2012 she had been embroiled in the crash of Enerambiente, the company managed by her brother, which took care of the collection and transport of waste in Naples between 2010 and 2011. The woman was accused of bankruptcy for distraction, and she had also been arrested, but in July 2012 the Naples Review Court accepted her appeal and the businesswoman regained her freedom. To the investigating judge, Maria Chiara Gavioli explained: «I was on the board of directors without my knowledge. I was not even aware of Enerambiente’s existence ».

In June 2021, however, the deputy prosecutor of Venice Roberto Terzo formulated the request for indictment of the entrepreneur and 18 other defendants, on charges of distraction, concealment, dissipation of company assets to the detriment of creditors. The criminal activity would have consisted in the issuing of false invoices and in the irregular keeping of the accounting books. Large sums would have been used for personal expenses and mortgages. Enerambiente went bankrupt with a loss of 106 million.

Maria Chiara Gavioli, who had also worked as a model, had also lived in Rome, Milan and Paris, and was also well known for her social connections. In the late nineties had been linked to Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri. “It was perhaps the most important story of my life,” he revealed in an interview with Gazzettino.
